The afro-beat sphere is still basking in the euphoria of the soldout concert by Nigeria’s Prince of Afrobeat “Wizkid” at the O2 20,000 capacity venue which featured artists like Mr Eazi, Tekno, Maleek Berry, Not3s, Tiwa Savage & Skepta.

This year has indeed been a good year as he is back to his root to regain his place in the heart of fans at home after being away for over a year trying to break new grounds with his music.

The return has sure cemented his place once again as Baba Nla as his singles ‘Manya’, ‘Soco’, ‘Nowo’ and most recent ‘Fake Love’ ft Duncan Mighty have been well received by the fans, music lovers and critiques. His home pursuit has also given birth to collaborations and signing of new artiste to his imprint.’

While speaking at the backstage after his performance at his 20,000 venue sold out concert with Tim Westwood a renowned DJ with BBC and Host of Tim Westwood TV he confirmed he is working on his next Album titled ‘Made In Lagos’ and it’s a ten track body of work with no features.

He as well teased the fans of releasing a record that features British artiste of Nigerian decent Skepta real name Joseph Junior Adenuga very soon and promises to blow people’s mind with the new one.

These are interesting times for African Music as it continues to gain traction in the global stage with Davido performing to over 10k fans in Suriname a country most of us just got to know about when he announced his performance. It’s indeed a good time to be alive as we can proudly say our generation did this.

Hopefully, African music will hit number one spot in the world someday.
