Manchester City record goalscorer, Sergio Aguero, has signed a 2 years deal with Barcelona till the end of the 2022/2023 season.
The Argentine would join his new club in July, at the end of his current contract with Manchester City, following the club’s decision not to renew the striker’s contract.
Barcelona unveiled their news signing on Monday evening to the media at the Camp Nou, wearing the Barcelona kit, following his medical earlier that afternoon. Upon his arrival, he said “We all know that Barcelona is the best club in the world so I think I made a great decision to be here and I hope to help the team. Of course, it is a step forward in my career and hopefully, I can help the team win things. I want to play and help this squad, and if the team does it well, I will be happy individually.”
Barcelona has set a €100m (£86m) buy out clause on the striker, even though he was signed for free following the end of his contract. Aguero, who joined Manchester City from Atletico Madrid, leaves the club after winning five Premier League titles, one FA Cup, and six League Cups.
