The annual Orange Film Bootcamp organized by Nollywood actress, scriptwriter and Producer Aniebiet Francis, popularly known as Amazing Aniebiet, has been put on hold.
The voluptuous filmmaker and serial entreprenuer broke the news via her Facebook page on Monday, 2nd November 2020 stating the reasons for this move which include the Coronavirus pandemic and other undisclosed factors.
She said; “Three years ago I decided to invest in the Akwa Ibom movie industry through Orange Film Bootcamp. It has been very interesting, rigorous tasking, exhausting but exciting and fulfilling journey. My gratitude goes to everyone that has been supporting me. Sadly, we can’t have a Bootcamp this year but we will be making magic…..”
However, she added that two movie productions are in the pipeline, which auditions will be held on 4th November 2020 by 9 am at Uyai College of Creative Arts, 34 Enwe Street, Uyo.
Orange Film Bootcamp birthed three years ago, is a capacity building and an empowerment platform aimed at repositioning the Akwa Ibom film industry by developing the abundant raw talents who sit through the tutelage of experts in the various aspects of film productions during a-week long training.
