“All AMVCA 2020 Attendees likely to have been Exposed to CoronaVirus” – Lagos Health Ministry

The Lagos State Ministry of Health has said that all attendees of the recently held African Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) might have possibly been exposed to the deadly world ravaging Coronavirus during the event.

This was made known on Tuesday 24th March, 2020 through a notice via the official Twitter handle of the State’s Ministry of Health, stating that the attendees might have come in contact with one of the confirmed cases of the virus in Lagos.

The tweet reads:

“I hereby notify you that all participants at the African Magic Viewers’ Choice Award (AMVCA) held on14th March at @EkoHotels may have come in contact with one of the confirmed cases in Lagos and
are most likely to have been exposed to #COVID19 Infection.”


The attendees at the said event Responsibility also advised to observe strict self- isolation and also call our Toll Free line 08000corona if they notice any of the COVID19 related symptoms and Take Responsibility by practicing SocialDistancing to prevent the spread of the virus, the notice concluded.

The AMVCA 2020 gathered thousands of celebrities, entertainers and fans across Africa to celebrate talents of the continents film industry in style and glamour.

We hope that many are not exposed to the virus, else Nigeria might be the biggest hit country in Africa.
