Kemi Adetiba shakes the internet with the trailer of the film’s sequel.
‘King of Boys’ chronicles the life of a businesswoman, philanthropist and ruthless lord of the underworld whose thirst for power almost led to her ruin.
KOB is the second movie directed by Kemi Adetiba following the release of _The Wedding Party_ in 2016 with a budget of N60 million and made N453,000,000 in box office making it Adetiba’s directorial debut. After the release of _King of Boys_ the movie made N245 million in the box office. In 2019, It won the African Movies Academy Awards awards for Best Actress in Leading Role – Sola Sobowale and Best Actress in a Supporting Role – Adesua, Etomi- Wellington.
On the 26th of July, Adetiba took to her social media Platforms to reveal the _King of Boys2_ will be available on Streaming platforms- Netflix by August 27.
“You can now confidently set your reminders and refresh your NETFLIX accounts. KOB2 is officially landing on August 27th, 2021.No going back”, She tweeted.
Spicing up the announcement, Adetiba revealed that the name _King of Boys_ has been changed to _The Return of the King_. The sequel is no longer a film but a 7 episode Netflix Original Series; the first of its kind in Nigeria.
