The University of Uyo has won the 9th edition of the International Humanitarian Law (IHL) Competition, reports Inside Uniuyo.
Organized by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the competition was held at the Baze University Abuja, which saw the University of Uyo defeating their University of Maiduguri counterparts at the finals of the academic contest.
The University of Uyo has won the trophy for a record 3 times. At the contest, the institution was represented by Aniekanabasi Udookon, Rosemary Asu, Nkereuwem Akpabio, Joanna Titus and Victor Daniel, under the guidance of International Law expert, Dr. (Mrs.) Idorenyin Eyo.
Asides the coveted prize, the University of Uyo Team also won Best Memorial Prize and will now represent Nigeria at the ICRC African Trials in Arusha, Tanzania.
