Transfer news: Jack Wilshere joins West Ham on a three-year contract

The England international, Jack Wilshere has joined West Ham from Arsenal.

Wilshere, whose contract with the Gunners expired at the end of June, signed a three-year contract with the Hammers.

Speaking after signing for West Ham, the 26-year-old said he feels good joining his childhood club.

“Many people know that I’ve had a special bond with this Club growing up” Wilshere told the club’s official website.

“People will have seen the picture of me in a West Ham shirt and I’ve got good memories of my childhood supporting West Ham, watching them at Upton Park. It feels good and of course, my family and a few of my friends are West Ham fans so everyone’s buzzing.”
