TAF Media Group sets Another Record in Akwa Ibom with First Private Tv Station – Spectrum TV



The yearning of residents of Akwa Ibom State for a private television station is coming to life as TAF Media Group have put all modalities in place for the broadcast commencement of television station – Spectrum TV, the first private station in the State.

This was made known by the Chairman of TAF Media Group, Tony Afia shortly after the companies board meeting on Monday, September 3 2021.

According to reports on the Planet 101.1 FM website, Mr Afia said that the approval had been secured for its Spectrum TV to commence broadcast on Startimes’ Channel 136.

“Spectrum TV, also the first privately-owned TV station in the Akwa Cross Region, promises to be a one-of-a-kind medium that will afford its teeming viewers impeccable content, thus broadening their horizon and affording them an all-new array of information dissemination channels”.

TAF Media Group in 2013 had set the pace in the State for private radio stations when it launched Planet Radio 101.1 FM in 2013, the first indigenous radio station in the Akwa Cross Region.
