All is set by Nigerian based NGO, Street Aid Africa Foundation (SAAF) for its annual Valentine day project to shower street people with love for the 2020 edition.
SAAF is a Non-Profit Organisation that represents the change in the present society, with hope and faith for better leaders that will secure the future through quality education.
SAAF’s founder, Nancy Ogbue, a phenomenal philanthropist says the vision of the NGO is to offer proper education to street kids and generally help humanity by exposing them to entrepreneurial platforms so as to learn marketable skills.
“Any sector of a society that is ignored will always constitute a nuisance to society. However, street children are trying to survive. You see them cleaning glasses, hawking, begging and all that. They just want to survive. They wake up with no idea where the next meal is coming from. That to me is an aspect of society that we all need to do something about which is why SAAF is here”, Nancy says.
This year’s project is called “feed the street”, will be carried out in three States in Nigeria simultaneously and they include Anambra, Akwa Ibom, and the Rivers States. This will be made possible through funding support from sponsors, individuals, organisations, and companies.
For over 3 years of it’s existence, SAAF has visited over 15 schools and various localities in the South-Eastern region, reaching over three thousand people while providing them with food, gift items, educational materials, sanitary pads and even spending some time with them.
