Spanish top-flight football club, Real Madrid has announced the departure of Sergio Ramos after 16 years, during which time the player won 22 major trophies, including three consecutive Champions League.
Following months of contract negotiations between Real Madrid and Spanish Captain, Sergio Ramos, it seems as if the club legend and the Spanish giants have parted ways. The player has scheduled a press conference for Thursday, at which the player could announce his decision.
Sergio Ramos, 35, joined Real Madrid in 2005 for €27 million, a record for a Spanish defender, following a season in Sevilla.
An injury to his left hamstring forced him to miss out on a major part of his final season in Madrid, playing only 21 matches in the 2020-21 campaign.
