Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari has written a letter of felicitation, Engr. Chris Ekpenyong, Senator-Elect who defeated the incumbent Senator Akpabio in the just concluded 2019 election.
The letter dated March 18, 2019 to Ekpenyong, a former deputy governor of Akwa Ibom State, described his victory as an indication of the confidence his constituents have in him to represent Akwa Ibom North-West Senatorial District in the 9th Assembly.
Buhari stated that he has no doubt that the Senate will benefit immensely from the Senator-Elect’s rich experience, ability and wisdom. He also looks forward to his joining hands with him as to collectively strive to make enabling laws, policies and programmes that will uplift the social and economic wellbeing of Nigerians.
