Nigerians have expressed their displeasure over the expulsion a female Babcock University student after her sex tape went viral online on Wednesday.
Many on Twitter and other social media platforms disagree with the school’s decision to expel her from the institution, stating that the school ought to be a place for reformation and building character, while others argue that the act didn’t take place in school, but during vacation.

Below are what some Nigerians feel about the institution’s decision
My own take on this #miakhalifa issue. Babcock university have no right to expel this girl, since d incident didn’t take place within d school premises. She have d right to have sex. This kind of unnecessary expulsions in Nigerian private universities should be stopped. #babcok pic.twitter.com/zKwhHf15gH

#Babcock University shouldn’t have expelled #Miakhalifa because having sex is her personal life. Besides, it wasn’t within the school premises.

So, if your alumni releases their sex tape, you will collect back your certificate, right?#Babcock #miakhalifa #BabcockSexTape https://t.co/rK3NUAXgBA

Babcock’s reaction to the video was to allegedly expel the student. Our sense of justice is punishment, not reformation. If the school is meant to build character, why do they expel those whose character they find short? Nothing in that video warrants anyone losing 3 years!

The act didn’t take place in school, it was during vacation, so why expel her? What nonsense is this? https://t.co/eW4cHyAvAt

From Backcock to Queen’s College – the administrators of education have failed in their promise to develop character!! Punishment, reaction and results are sickening. How does a child loose hope because of correction.

#babcock #miakhalifa. #babcock ,it’s her life . If she has chosen to be a porn start , so be it . That’s what makes her happy , it’s not rape,it’s not done in the school premises, nor done with the school tag’s i.e ID . She’s not owing your fees I guess , why all these stress

Who brought in her university into the trend video? Who leaked the video & for what fucking reason? Who are the people that made it trend on twitter?
These & more are the questions they should have asked. I smell propaganda in all of this saga. Expel is wrong #babcok pic.twitter.com/OCQKVK6igf

I’m not in support of public display of indecent act, however, #babcock University shouldn’t have expelled the girl because the act wasn’t done within the school premises. She has the right to live her private life the way she wants. #babcok #babcook

I hope this family knows they have hit jackpot with the expulsion & the statement by the university. All they need is half a decent lawyer. How do you expel someone for having sex during school vacation, outside of premises? Since when did it become a crime to have sex? #babcok pic.twitter.com/qQvmAILwm4

From the statement the University released, the only reason she was expelled is just having sex. Seems like Babcock is trying to tell us every other student hasn’t had sex since admission. Clap for them #MiaKhalifa #miakhalifaِ
