Hon. Desmond Elliot during his remarks on the floor of the Lagos State House of Assembly which went viral on the internet, saying the youths are children who have lost value for culture and go about making hate speeches and used the Lekki massacre as an example. Simi alongside other Nigerians has stated that good governance doesn’t have to do with age, despite the lawmaker is one of the youngest his remarks doesn’t have the interest of the youths at heart.
Cousin Desmond should have used the same energy to fight for us. Now he’s collecting money, we’re “children”. 👏🏾👏🏾You can see it’s not about age. You can be 22 years old and wicked. “Celebrities yen yen”…they didn’t vote for celebs, they voted for you sir.

Just as the saying goes ‘Social Media never forgets’ despite his apology and explanation over his remarks, the lawmaker is still being dragged.
Ovie O of NotJustOk and Cool Fm’s Dotun said in the tweets below:
Desmond Idiot, simple thread, you cannot organize properly. I wonder how you legislate.
Nigerians were killed by the Army, but it’s the looting that upset you.
Then you blame “children” on Social media.
