Argentine footballer and COPA America winner, Lionel Messi, has arrived in the French capital, Paris, to sign his new contract with French football giants, Paris St-Germain.
The 6 times Balon d’Or winner finally decided his next club, after days of speculation, following his unexpected exit from Barcelona amid contract negotiations and La Liga rules.
Messi is expected to sign a 2-year contract with the club worth £25m per year after tax and will also receive a £25m signinng-on fee.
PSG posted a video on the club’s official Instagram account of Messi’s unveiling at its Parc des Princes (Princes Park) stadium. It captioned it “A New Diamond in Paris”.
