iExude Network Africa in partnership with frontline Akwa-Ibom State fashion designers distributed 10,000 face-masks and PPEs in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic which led to a total lockdown across Nigeria.
The materials were donated to aid the State and Country’s preparedness and response in combating the widespread virus a few weeks after the first index case was discovered in Nigeria.
Some of the places visited for the donations by the team included the State Police Headquarters, Ikot Akpan Abia, St. Lukes Hospital, Anua, University of Uyo Teaching Hospital, UUTH, security checkpoints, orphanages, banks and radio stations.
The collaboration of House of Borah, Aniferaz, Mens Court and Ani Wilson under the umbrella of Ibom Fashion Designers, with support from Eyes Wide Shot Photography and GoldWire Productions ensured the partnership with iExude Africa was successful.
“We did this aligning with key UN Sustainable Development Goals and blueprint,” a statement from the team read.
The citizenry were also admonished in the course of the outreach to adhere to guidelines from international and national health authorities.
“Do kindly adhere to safety guidelines from the UN, CDC, WHO, and NHIS. Together we can win this battle.”
