Ibibio Rapper, Ikpa Udo Announces Homecoming Live Concert – ‘328 Miles’

Ibibio rap act and lyrical genius, Ikpa Udo with real names Nsidibe Sunday Ukim is about to make history come December 29, 2017 as Akwa Ibom’s first rap act to host a personal concert.

Plans for this forthcoming concert tagged ‘328 Miles’ was unveiled to the media at a press briefing hosted by Maximum Disturbance Entertainment which Ikpa Udo is signed to.

Mr. Otobong Edo, the CEO of Maximum Disturbance Entertainment disclosed that the idea behind the event is to bring back the artiste to celebrate with his people, and especially where he started off his career in music.

On why the event is titled ‘328 Miles’, Ikpa Udo stated that it’s the distance between Uyo to Lagos by flight and he is bringing back his musical experience to share with his fans back home. The native of Nsit Ibom also stated that he hopes to expand what has been done before my emergence in music for the Ibibio and Efik speaking people, hence making both languages known and globally accepted.

More so, as a way of giving back to other young people, a pop up street music contest will be hosted to help discover new acts which will either get a studio recording session or a chance to feature Ikpa Udo on a track.

‘328 Miles’ will showcase some of Ikpa Udo’s unleased songs and also feature performances by some of Akwa Ibom finest artiste both home and outside the State. They Include, Leki, Sagas, L-J Saaaviour, Oga Sir, Zillions, Sugar Boy and more who will be announced on a later date. The event hopes to be an annual outing
