The people of Amuwo Odofin State constituency of Lagos state are pushing to legally recall Mrs Mojisola Alli Macaulay from the Lagos State House of Assembly for misguided statements and gross misrepresentation.

This comes after her statement during a sitting of the Lagos State legislature on Tuesday, October 28, 2020, where she exonerated the failure of the government to provide platforms but stated that the youths on social media are children who use hard drugs and refuse to do things for themselves but sit back to blame the government.

“The children on social media are mostly on hard drugs, blaming the government and not choosing to do something with their lives, in the UK youths have skills and not depending on white-collar jobs, so why don’t these youths on social media pick up skills like carpentry, tiling and other vocational jobs.”

Hence, this statement infuriated the Amuwo Odofin people, under the auspices of the Amuwo Odofin Stakeholders Consultative Forum who have legally started proceedings to recall her Hon. Mojisola Macaulay from the House.

They made this known a press statement as seen online which they published their reasons for the recall.

The reasons iincludes non-existent functional constituency office as required by law within the constituency, no bill aimed at improving the lives of her constituents and by extension Lagos state.

Others are her continuous representation is totally against the wellbeing of her constituents, using COVID-19 palliative items as gifts at her last birthday party, refusal to give her account of stewardship at the Lagos state house of assembly since she assumed office and being inaccessible since she assumed office.

According to reports, Signatures will be submitted soon as INEC on Monday, November 2, 2020, had received a notice of the petition to recall Hon. Mojisola Alli-Macaulay, the member representing Amuwo Odofin Constituency I, from the Lagos House of Assembly.
