Enugu Local Government gives out Wheelbarrows on ‘Hire-Purchase’ as Poverty Alleviation Project

The Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State has given out some number of wheelbarrows on hire purchase to the people of the area as empowerment.

This is an effort endorsed by the chairperson of the Nsukka LGA and proudly tagged as a poverty alleviation outreach project.

Many have frowned at this move after some photos of the ribbon-cutting and presentation to “beneficiaries” surfaced online.

Sometime in 2019, the first-lady of Enugu State commissioned a Jerry can hanged with sticks as project for a handwashing sensitization programme at a primary school in the State.
