The postponed 2019 general elections which was scheduled to hold on Saturday, 16th February has showed the INEC’s incompetency, under Prof. Mahmood Yakubu in conducting a smooth electoral process for the transition of power in Nigeria.
Despite the N189 billion funding allocated for the exercise, the Independent National Electoral Commission has been unable to take care of logistics of its Ad Hoc staff which is majorly comprised of Youth Corps Members across the country.
Pictures flooding the social media space shows did not make provision for accommodation, leaving them stranded at night, but to find solace in open spaces and available shades; sleeping on bare floors and inside buses. This has also exposed these innocent persons to risk, as many have been harassed by thugs.
