Burna Boy gets New deal with Universal Music Group

The music career of Nigeria’s Afro-fusion and dancehall artiste, Burna Boy seems to be on a new peak.

Although considered a controversial artiste, he continues to bring more surprises to fans and critics.

The ‘Ye’ crooner has just inked a new deal with Universal Music Publishing Group in the United States of America.

Universal Music Group made the official announcement and unveiling on Tuesday via their Instagram account with the caption:  New Deal Alert… Proud to welcome @burnaboygram to the #UMPG family!


Although the terms of the deal is yet to known, Burna Boy is the latest Nigerian artiste to get a Universal Music deal after Tekno and Mr. Eazi who had also got to Universal Music Group Africa and a licensing deal respectively.

Universal Music is home to artiste which include Chris Brown, Mariah Carey, Coldplay, J. Cole, Eminem and many more.
