Akwa Ibom Lockdown: Eni Stores to Assist Food Value Chain Businesses with Free Logistics Support

The management of Eni Stores is set to provide assistance to poultry and the food value chain businesses in Akwa Ibom State with free logistics support.

This is following the statewide lockdown of Akwa Ibom by the State government with an aim at reducing the spread of the Coronavirus but will affect food supply into the State.

According to Mr. Ime Uwah, Chairman of Eni Group, the logistics support is our own way of helping dealers in the food value chain have a steady supply of products which is among the essential commodities allowed to citizens be sold despite the lockdown, as outlined in the lockdown guideline issued by the federal government”.

“Just this Saturday afternoon, we have been able to intervene with access to 2 trucks of poultry feed coming in from Enugu to supply numerous feed suppliers in Uyo.”

“We are also aiding with deliveries to some farms within and around Uyo. Please anyone you know that is in the food or poultry value chain business and is in need of logistics support, they can call in and make use of these vehicles free of charge” Mr. Uwah added.
