
The Zimbabwe senior male national team nicknamed ‘Warriors’ are in Nigeria to battle Super Eagles in a friendly duel in preparation for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations slated for Egypt.
A contingent consisting of eighteen players arrived in Nigeria on Friday afternoon and will be facing a Super Eagles side led by Coach Gernot Rohr on Saturday at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba.
Rohr will be using the friendly to prune his 25-man squad to twenty three while rounding off preparations for the continental mundial in Egypt where his side face
Nigeria’s Super Eagles will be a worthy test for the Warriors of Zimbabwe who are drawn alongside host nation Egypt, Uganda and DR Congo in Group A of tournament which commences June 21.
