A First Look at ‘The 5 Alive Girls’ Web Series by SavvyLemon Studios


An Akwa Ibom based film outfit, SavvyLemons Studios is unto something new for lovers of high school television series, the production of its first web series – ‘The 5 Alive Girls’.

According to the producer and creative director of the SavvyLemons outfit, Engr Blessing Johnson, he says his production team has been working on this project for over two years and now and they are set out to create something magical with ‘The 5 Alive Girls’, and it hopes to be one of the best web series from Nigeria’s Niger Delta region.

The production which is shot in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, ‘The 5 Alive Girls’ web series is centred on Wonderland High School, full of rich teen kids from different backgrounds. The school is ruled by the five elegant girls popularly known as “THE 5ALIVE GIRLS”, which is made up of Lilian, Imelda, Vivian and Erica and led by Alina, an aspiring model, who all taunt Jane, a young girl from a poor background gets a scholarship into the school. Jane’s challenges heighten when the handsome and most admired prince of the school, Derek who is also Alina’s childhood friend, picks interest in her.

‘The 5 Alive Girls’ web series is shot in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital and directed by Nollywood’s Paul Frank. Its stars Evangelist Pat Akpabio – Mrs Jackson (Vivian’s mother), Emmanuella Nwaneto – Vivian, Joy Brownson – Jane, Nancy Bassey – Mrs Daniels (Jane’s mother), Cris Diamondz – Derek and Abasifreke Mbaa – Silver. Others are Godwin Mkpeti – Gabriel, Hephzibah Lawrence – Alina, Alice Brownson – Lilian, Mary Obi – Imelda and Brendan Etimbuk – Erica.
