7 Dead as Nigerian Military Plane Crashes in Abuja

A military aircraft belonging to the Nigerian Military has reportedly crashed in the nation’s capital, Abuja.

This sad incident occurred on Sunday, 21st day of February 2021 while trying to return to the Abuja airport after it reported engine failure on its way to Minna, Niger State.

The aircraft, a Beechcraft KingAir B350i, crashed a few kilometres away from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja Airport. Firefighters and the military were quick to report on the scene of the crash.

Airforce Spokesman, Air Vice Marshall Ibikunle Daramola, says that investigations are already underway to determine the cause of the incident.

All seven passengers and crewmen on board have been confirmed dead.
