The kid star xylophonist, Udo Mariam is set to relaunch his career with a management partnership deal with ISTRITZ LIMITED.
This was disclosed on Tuesday, November 28 by Chief Ofonime Felix Okon, popularly known as Udo Mariam, an ace Nigerian xylophonist of the 90s fame. Udo Mariam had his shot to stardom at age 3 after he was discovered and adopted as son of late Mariam Babaginda, wife of the former Nigerian military president, General Ibrahim Babaginda.
At 4 years of age, he made history being conferred with a chieftaincy title in his home town of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State for his talent and sterling performances at such tender age. Udo Mariam took his flair for the arts a notch higher by studying Theatre Arts at the University of Uyo and has performed on international stages before African, European and American kings, queens and heads of states till he was named a Nigerian Cultural Ambassador.
Udo Mariam told press men in Uyo that the partnership with Nelson NseAbasi’s media and talents management company ISTRITZ is to relaunch his brand as a Xylophonist, Cultural Ambassador and Theatre Artist, to stake a claim to his share of the revolving multi-million naira entertainment industry.
Udo Mariam Theatre / Entertainment Company is a 20-man Cultural Troupe which comprises of talented percussionists, drummers and dancers who accompany Udo Mariam to stage energetic and jaw dripping performances to thrill guests irrespective of age, tribe, race or religion
Going forward, ISTRITZ, a registered Nigerian Limited Liability company will run the affairs of Udo Mariam Entertainment. The deal will have ISTRITZ handling the brand, image, management, promotion and booking of the xylophonist.
