A young man from Malawi named Bob Phondo, in appreciation for what his bride-to-be has done for him, he went ahead share 10 things about her just some days before their wedding.
Among some of the things the excited Bob enlisted in a tweet thread include; getting him a house, his first car, investing in a business for both of them, covering cost for dates etc.
I wanna share 10 things about this woman before we wed this weekend;
1. When I met her I had no place to stay. I was sleeping on a couch at a friend’s house. And she knew.
2. I found a place later on, and she helped paying my rent for months
3. She got me my first car ever. pic.twitter.com/YYKKTNUZgn

This series of tweets generated responses, mixed feelings from the Twitter community leaving many for and against him, with some referring him to a ‘gold digger’.
I wanna share some things too
1. My mom tells me to avoid “men” like you
2. You never said you love ❤️ her u only like that she pays for everything for u
3. She obviously wears the pants in the relationship She’s even wearing a tuxedo in this pic
4. Are u taking her last name?

This is so pathetic and embarrassing. I feel sorry for her and all the pick-me’s in the world that feel like they have to raise a man in order to marry his ass. Meanwhile, what do you do for her outside of suck the marrow from her bones?

Men often only relate the goodness and value of women in what they do for them, not who the women are.
I’m not sure I’ve seen a more gratuitous display of exactly that in this post.
She needs to RUN.

Seems she’s the one doing stuff in your relationship. You’re officially the woman in that marriage. Don’t argue, I’m right.

So in a marriage, the man is the only one supposed to be doing stuffs??

I guess there’s nothing wrong with her doing these things but did you have to embarrass both yourself and your wife online in front of strangers ?
Where is the tact and discretion ?

Reading the comments I can see why a good bit of y’all women single…. y’all look at generousity as a weakness. When it’s actually a strength being selfless has a greater reward than selfishness. But y’all continue being single.

She’s adopting you, not marrying you. 😂

The tweet is about appreciating her and not himself so I don’t see why he should write what he has done for her
