Two times World heavyweight boxing champion, Vladimir Klitschko has congratulated Anthony Joshua for retaining his heavyweight titles against Carlos Takam.
Klitschko who retired after his defeat by Anthony Joshua in April, took to his twitter page on Monday to congratulate the Heavyweight Champion.
“Congrats Champ and keep on punching”, he tweeted with the picture of the Briton Boxer.
The Watford born Boxer was declared winner after the Referee controversially stopped the fight in the tenth round with determined Carlos Takam bleeding from a cut above his eye to increase Joshua’s tally of knockouts to twenty(20).
Takam replaced Kubrat Pulev barely 12 days before the bout after Pulev pulled out late due to injury concerns.
The France-based boxer has challenged AJ for a rematch but Joshua’s manager, Eddie Hearn has announced that would be all for the year and has promised fans of specific fights against Deontay Wilder, Tyson Fury and Joseph Parker.
“AJ’s told me he wants the belts. Deontay Wilder against Anthony Joshua has to happen.
“There’s also a great heavyweight called Tyson Fury. Anthony Joshua will give you the fights you want. Wilder, Fury, Joseph Parker – they’re the 2018 fights.
“I don’t think we should go abroad. Anthony Joshua will fight anyone.”
