The wedding of Youth and Hanson Johnson definitely got us excited. It was a lovely experience at the event, as friends, colleagues and well-wishers came in droves to celebrate the love birds even when it was scheduled on a Monday.
As a techie that Hanson is, his toast (e-toast) was done by a friend, Chimdindu Aneke, Manager, Developer & Startup Programs, Sub Saharan Africa at Facebook via Google Hangout from far away London, one of the high-points of the day.
Meanwhile, here is an account of how they met as shared by the groom, Hanson Johnson.
We met at an event in Uyo. We were both students. I never believed we would have anything romantic to do with each other later. If someone mentioned it, I would doubt.
Towards the last quarter of 2009, I was sick, I met her on my way to the hospital. She visited me every day and was innocently caring. I was overwhelmed by her attention, care and prayers. I had to ask her about her relationship, she smiled and said no and I should not go there because all guys are the same and added that she is not interested in a relationship anytime soon. I responded “okay-o, at least I am not all guys, so can’t be the same.”
When I was discharged, it was my turn to also keep in touch and in 2010 we fell in love with each other. I proposed to her and she accepted but we could not pull this through because of a couple of issues we have finally been able to handle with the help of God.
We waited forever for our Wedding Day 18th February 2019 and it finally came. We thank God for love and fulfilment of promises in our lives.
It was a beautiful thing we experienced and we wanted more of it.
