Highlife Veteran and Founding Member of PMAN, Ette Ntia Dies at 94

Chief Emmanuel Ntia Veteran Highlife musician and founding member of the Performing Musicians Employers Association of Nigeria (PMAN) is dead.

Ette Ntia as he is fondly called, passed away on Monday 29th October, 2018 at age 94.

The maestro and ‘Solo Hit’ (Kolokshok) crooner of the 70’s, was reportedly still hale and hearty before his demise, having sung, and danced on 22nd of October during an event organised to mark of his birthday which usually falls on July.

Regarded as one of the great highlife legends of the then Cross River State and the father of music in Akwa Ibom State, Pa Ntia will be remembered for his electrifying stage performances which featured some rare dance steps to thrill his audiences.

He was also the pioneer chairman of PMAN in Akwa Ibom State.
