Governor Fayose Agrees to Submit Himself for EFCC Probe

Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State has agreed to submit self for EFCC probe after leaving office in October.

In a letter titled “Notification of My Decision to Make Myself Available in Your Office to Clarify Issue(s) or Answer Questions on Issues Within my Knowledge”, Fayose says the decision comes from the “several actions of the commission to freeze bank accounts attempts to secure temporary forfeiture” of his properties.

“As a responsible citizen of our great country, who believes in the Rule of Law, I wish to inform you of my decision to make myself available in your office on Tuesday 16yh October, 2018 at 1pm to clarify or answer questions within my knowledge”, he added.

He made this move public in a tweet below, where he attached the copy of the letter:

Yesterday,  I submitted a letter to the @officialEFCC,  informing the commission of my desire to make myself available on Tuesday,  October 16 at 1pm to clarify issues or answer questions on issues within my knowledge. My tenure as governor of Ekiti ends on October 15.
