EFCC: Buhari Drops Magu as Chairman

Following his rejection as a nominee by the Nigerian Senate, Ibrahim Magu, the Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has been removed from office, reports The Guardian.

Magu is redeployed back to the Nigerian Police Force (NPF), as President Muhammadu Buhari is set to present a new nominee before the Senate.

He was issued a letter by the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, on this move, with a directive to handover to the Director of Operations in the anti-graft agency.
