American State of Minnesota Declares October 6 as ‘Wizkid Day’

The American State of Minnesota has declared October 6 as the ‘Wizkid Day’.

This proclamation was made by Mark Dayton, the Mayor of Minnesota, as a way of celebrating the Nigerian Music star, shortly after Wizkid’s sold out concert at the Skyway Theatre in Minnesota, US on Saturday, October 6, 2018.

According to a post made available on his Twitter page, this feat was achieved as he became the first African artist to ever sell out the Skyway Theatre in Minnesota, US on Saturday, October 6, 2018.


Also taking to his instagram page, Wizkid shared a post on the event with the caption, ”Sold out again last night! Love u Minnesota, y’all in my heart forever.”


Wizkid is not the only Nigerian artiste to be celebrated by the State of Minnesota. Earlier in 2018, X3M music artist, Praise Adejo also known as Praiz, was also celebrated by the State as February 6th was declared the official “Praise Adejo Day.”
