Utitofon Morgan, the publisher of popular blog, sitippe.com who was earlier detained by the police on the on the orders of Senator Godswill Akpabio, has regained freedom.
Utitofon was released on administrative bail by a Magistrate Court sitting in Uyo where he was arraigned, after persecutors had brought up new charges against him, after he was found totally innocent of the first petition allegedly submitted.
Mr. Morgan has said that he stated that he “CANNOT BE INTIMIDATED OR BLACKMAILED”, as he shared on his Facebook timeline after regaining his freedom.
“I wish to sincerely thank all those who stood by me during my three days incarceration at the Police Headquarters, Ikot Akpan Abia over a petition personally signed by Sen. Godswill Akpabio and Nsima Ekere.”
“Since the matter is in court, I may not be able to talk about it. I shall continue to stand on the side of truth without any feeling of intimidation.”
“Thank you my other family on social media, the support was massive. I owe you all. For those who came to the Magistrate Court, thank you so much, I didn’t have an opportunity to say Thank you.”
“For those on the other side, whatever a man sows, that shall he reap”, he concluded.
The case is adjourned till December 21.
