29 Nigerian Governors Take Oath of Office | See their Names and Parties

The swearing-in Ceremony of Mr Udom Gabriel Emmanuel as Governor of Akwa Ibom State for another 4 Years

The 2019 general elections had come and gone, producing governors who will lead their various States for the next dispensation of another 4 years in Nigeria’s growing democracy.

On Wednesday, May 29, 2019, 29 State Governors across the country took oath of office and 15 of them belong to the number one opposition Party, the People Democratic Party (PDP). The remaining 14 Governors are of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Babajide Sanwo-Olu (APC) – Lagos

Abdullahi Sule (APC) – Nasarawa

Dapo Abiodun (APC) – Ogun

Seyi Makinde (PDP) – Oyo

Mai-Mala Buni (APC) – Yobe

Bello Matawalle (PDP) – Zamfara

Okezie Ikpeazu (PDP) – Abia

Udom Emmanuel (PDP) – Akwa Ibom

Samuel Ortom (PDP) – Benue

Ben Ayade (PDP) – Cross River

Ifeanyi Okowa (PDP) – Delta

David Imahi (PDP) – Ebonyi

Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (PDP) – Enugu
