The home-based Super Eagles team has booked a place in the final of the ongoing African Nations Championships, CHAN2018 taking place in Morocco.
Gabriel Okechukwu’s lone goal in the first half sent Nigeria through to the final of CHAN 2018 with a 1-0 win over Sudan in Marrakech.
Thirteen minutes into the second half the Super Eagle team were reduced to 10 men as Ifeanyi slid in with both feet on his opposite number Mohamed Hashim Idris to get his second yellow card, which means he will miss Sunday’s final.
Sudan with a passion to equalize created numerous scoring opportunity but poor finishing let them down as Ajiboye made good saves to deny Abdelrahman Maaz and Abdellatif Boya among others.
The Sudanese also ended the game with one man out as Bakri Bashir was shown a straight red card as the referee adjudged he pulled Dayo Ojo just outside the area to deny him a clear goalscoring opportunity.
The Super Eagle team would be meeting Morocco, who had earlier qualified for the final after an impressive 3 – 1 victory over Libya.
