Moses Montoni, a tracking officer of BudgIT has been released from Police custody.
Reportedly, the BudgIT personnel was arrested Tuesday on controversial grounds amidst the End Sars campaign on Twitter with myriads of tweets lending a voice for the arrested Montoni in what was thought to be a SARS arrest.
BudgIT, a civic tech organisation had blamed Sani Mohammed, a senator representing Niger south, and Faruk Muhammadu, the lawmaker representing Bida/Gbako/Katcha constituency in the lower legislative chamber, for the arrest.
The organization said its tracking officer was picked up for sensitizing citizens on constituency projects in Bida, Niger state.
On Wednesday, the police tweeted a picture of Motoni and Jimoh Moshood, spokesman of the force.
