“I am Finally Free”! Catholic Reverend Father in Akwa Ibom Resigns from Priesthood

…says he was called by God and not by the church.

Reverend Patrick Henry Edet

Popular Catholic reverend father, Patrick Henry Edet serving at the Eman Uruan Diocese, Uruan Local Government Area in Akwa Ibom has resigned from serving as a priest in the church.

He made this announcement public during his Wednesday morning radio show, ‘Grace and Inspiration’ on Planet 101.1 FM, Uyo saying:

“From today henceforth, I cease to be a Catholic Priest, in my spirit and in my soul. I forgive those who will criticize me, I live for God and I seek freedom for my soul. As I leave, I leave smiling, I AM SO HAPPY THAT I AM FREE”, as his calling was by God and not to the church and needs no restrictions to carry out his ministry work.

He further states that he should be addressed as Reverend Patrick Edet and on a lighter note, he says he can still be called Fr.

Reverend Patrick is also known for the ‘Dinner for Champions’ service which holds during his Grace Family fellowship every Tuesday.

More details coming later.
