Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has carried out a shake-up of his cabinet, sacking Commissioners, Senior Special Advisers and Special Advisers.
According to a press statement made available by the Principal Secretary to the Governor Pascal Obi, the dissolution is also extended to the Transition Committee Chairmen in all the 27 Local Government Areas of the state.
The release reads in part:
“All appointees such as Commissioners, SSAs and SAs as well as Transition Committee Chairmen in the various local governments remain dissolved until further notice.
“The government urges them to handover all government properties in the possession to the permanent secretaries in their various ministries, offices and appropriate government offices.
