Okon Sergeant Etukakpan, after a protracted illness.

The deceased until death was a committed member of Pentecostal Assemblies of the World Incorporated, Four Towns in Uyo.

A statement issued by the Chief mourner, Mr David Sergeant, popularly called Utang Akwa Ibom, said, Pa Okon Sergeant Etukakpan died on the 16th March, 2017, at the age of 95.

The release revealed the deceased who hailed from Afaha Offot Village in Uyo Local Government Area, was actively involved in his Trade business and Community work and was a very loving Father and grandfather who was ever committed to ensuring he built a strong, prosperous and united family.

Already, the family has started preparations for the burial of their father who has left behind his beloved wife, children, grandchildren and many others to mourn his exit.

According to the statement, the funeral service for the burial of the Late Pa Okon Sergeant will take place on Friday, 28th April, 2017 at Government Primary School, Afaha Offot, along Abak Road, Uyo, to be conducted by Pentecostal Assemblies of the World Incorporated, 4 Towns, Uyo by 10 am.

While calling on all and sundry to pay last respect to his departed father by attending his burial, Utang Akwa Ibom, expressed gratitude to well-meaning citizens of the State, group and individuals for their outpouring of love and support for his family at this moment of grief.
