Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr says he is
Rohr who shared his thoughts on the game with the media on arrival at Ibom International Airport on Wednesday, believes the team will bask on the euphoria of the impresive win at Zambia on matchday 1, to beat the Algerians and consolidate their place on top of the log.
“We have to win because we have come here to win. It will be a great game, a big one. Algeria is number one in Africa but it’s an opportunity for us after our game in Zambia to get a second victory which will leave us in a very good position to qualify for Russia”.
“We know it will be a hard game but we are well prepared in the moment and we have another two days to be better and see the pitch”. He said.
The German tactician dismissed fears that his team is with a couple of injury concerns, stressing that all 23 players in camp are fit and have been training as a group.
“Everybody is fit now, we have all the players available and no injuries. We will have a big game, am sure of it”.
“Yesterday we had two training sessions. Some players played on Sunday so they were a little bit tired but we had some groups, no individual trainings and eveybody did it and every people was fit. The 23 players are here and they are fit for the game”. Rohr added.
